29 Noiembrie 2006 - EDWARD W KELLEY & PARTNERS Extends Global Reach with New Offices and New Senior Executives

Leading Executive Search Firm Continues To See Client-Driven Growth

LONDON – November 21, 2006 – Edward W Kelley & Partners Limited announced today it has opened new offices in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Helsinki (Finland). The firm also will open an office in San Francisco (United States) in January to enhance its existing capabilities in Northern California. In addition, the company has added two new senior executives to its Hong Kong (China) office. These moves reinforce the firm’s commitment to developing a strong presence in key emerging and growing markets, and to continue expanding its senior talent ranks. The firm’s professional staff has increased more than 55 percent since last January.

“These are significant developments in the continuation of our strategic global growth plan,” said Ed Kelley, chief executive officer. “They are calculated moves designed not to make us the biggest, but the best executive talent consulting resource available. New offices in these critical markets, along with the growth of our highly talented executive staff, will equip us well to provide regional and global solutions for our clients.”

The Dubai office will provide a hub to meet increasing client demands in the Arabian Gulf States and the Middle East overall. Michael Morcos joins the company as a managing director in the Dubai office, bringing deep experience in strategic planning and management consulting for leading multinationals, including oil and energy companies, as well as government entities. Morcos most recently worked for McKinsey & Co. in Dubai and London, where he spearheaded initiatives in senior leadership effectiveness and a variety of other human capital management issues. He has also held positions with ARCO British Gas Ltd. and Schlumberger in the UK, Norway, Burma and Malaysia.

Raed Sater, previously with Korn/Ferry International, also has joined the firm in Dubai. Sater is an expert in recruiting for financial services companies and family businesses across various industry sectors in the Middle East. While with Korn/Ferry, he worked initially within the financial services practice in London and was subsequently based in the Dubai office, managing searches for C-suite and other senior executive positions. Sater has also worked for Unilever, where he spent the bulk of his time in human resources positions and as head of human resources for Gulf Air.

The new office in Helsinki will serve as a focal point for the company’s increasing emphasis on the Nordic market and also create synergies with the firm’s Central and Eastern European operations. Ralf Hermansson has joined the company to lead the Helsinki office, bringing a rich background in the consumer goods, retail, publishing and advertising industries. Previously with Korn/Ferry International for six years, Hermansson has also held senior positions with Grey Advertising, Duracell Batteries and BASF. He is fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English, and proficient in German.

Dan Dumitrescu, head of the firm’s Global Technology Industry practice, currently leads a quickly growing team in Northern California and has been appointed to lead the firm’s new office in San Francisco, which will open in January. The new office will focus on client needs in the burgeoning sectors of high technology, consumer goods, healthcare and medical devices, among others.

Formerly located in the company’s Sydney, Australia office, Dumitrescu joined Edward W Kelley & Partners earlier this year and has quickly made a mark as a leader in the firm. He has created a number of innovative search tools such as strategic account management programs and unique approaches to integrated client services. With more than 13 years of senior-level search industry experience emphasizing advanced technology, Dumitrescu formerly served as joint managing partner of Highland Partners Asia Pacific. He has completed numerous cross-border searches for major multinationals.

In Hong Kong, Edward W Kelley & Partners has added two new senior executives to serve clients in greater China, India and other emerging Asian markets. Ray Kelly, a member of the firm’s executive committee and head of South Asia and Middle East operations, said: “Our team’s growth in Hong Kong is a response to increasing client demands in rapidly expanding Asian economies. These key additions to our professional ranks will help our clients meet their multiple hiring needs, including requirements for indigenous talent, specialised technical knowledge, linguistic skills, and management expertise in specific industry sectors.”

Christopher Sykes has joined the firm as a managing director in the Hong Kong office and will oversee greater China operations for the firm. He assumes responsibility for developing the firm’s presence in that important region, as well as in South Asia and emerging markets generally. Sykes is a seasoned executive search professional with deep experience recruiting board-level and C-suite executives across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, with a specialised focus on financial services.

Sykes was previously managing partner Asia Pacific at Heidrick & Struggles International, and he also ran his own executive search consultancy for several years. In addition, he spent more than 15 years in British government service, initially with the Colonial Service in Hong Kong and later as a sinologist and China specialist in HM Diplomatic Service. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, he has spent more than 30 years working on China-related issues while based in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taipei.

Ami Bhatt has also joined the firm’s Hong Kong office as a managing director, bringing more than 16 years of experience in the executive search industry, most recently as a senior client partner for Korn/Ferry International. Bhatt has extensive search experience working with large, global clients. She will play a leading role in expanding the firm’s activities in the swiftly growing segments of consumer, retail and media across the Asia Pacific region.

“The addition of these locations and individuals furthers our goal of reshaping the search industry with a model, capabilities and talent that match the contemporary needs of clients,” said Kelley. “We stand ready to help meet the accelerating demand in critical markets and industries, and – above all – help companies grow.”
